My goal today was to give a shot at tryhackme.com, but instead, I ended up spending my day creating Linda, The Cyberwarrior. This resulted from watching Hack Your LinkedIn Part 1 by Neal Bridges, who told me I needed a brand so people would know who I am.
Before embarking on my hacking adventures, I knew I needed a space to capture the activities I participated in and jot down my reviews. This information may be helpful later when I need to look back for ideas or see how I approached a problem. That's when the thought came to me that I should create a website. Since this is my first time creating a website, this will also be a good project and learning opportunity.
I first encountered the term "cyberwarrior" in a security textbook I read during undergrad. I thought, wow, what a unique and strong word to describe a cybersecurity professional! The word left such a strong impression that it stuck with me long after I completed undergrad. That's how this website came to be.
Going back to Neal Bridges' video, not only was I creating a website but I also needed to update my LinkedIn.
Here is the list of websites I used today to create my brand:
I used Wix to purchase my domain (lindathecyberwarrior.com) and create the different web pages (Home, About Me, Projects, and Blog)
I used DeepAI to create a photo for my home page.
I used Canva to create a LinkedIn banner.
And that's how this site came to be. Now, onto hacking!
